We are looking for a highly accomplished backend software engineer. Who is interested in optimizing current operations as well as working on the product roadmap. You will join a star team and work on a cutting-edge SaaS product.
Responsibilities:
Help define and develop new features.
Maintain and optimize backend in cooperation with system administration team
Stay up to date on nosql and distributed computation and management tools open-source software
Design, specify and develop custom solutions based on customers requests.
Requirements:
2 – 5 years experience at a similar position
BSc/Ms/PhD degree in computer science or related field
Big Data/NOSQL
Java, Python, shells, Linux, R/Revolution
Cloud computing (AWS)
Experience with Hadoop, HBase
Good understanding of algorithms, statistical techniques, data structures, performance optimization techniques, and object-oriented programming
Strong interest in mathematics and statistics.
Experienced with business-critical platforms in production mode.
English fluent (written, oral)
Good communications skills and a great sense of humor
Enthusiastic with a desire to work in a startup environment and a record of strong achievement
Nice to have: GWT, business intelligence and reporting tools, data mining, machine learning techniques, Scala, Pentaho, Jaspersoft
